How Psalm 346 Ministries Inc. Works Alongside ProJeCt of Easton

At Psalm 346 Ministries Inc. (P346), we believe that access to food assistance should not depend on whether someone has reliable transportation, is physically able to leave their home, or can make it to a food pantry during its regular operating hours.

That is one of the reasons our relationship with ProJeCt of Easton is so important.

ProJeCt of Easton operates a wonderful and extremely generous food pantry in Downtown Easton, providing food and other essential assistance to individuals and families throughout our community. Their pantry is an invaluable resource, helping countless people who may be struggling with food insecurity or financial hardship.

However, there are members of our community who simply cannot make it to the pantry.

Some are elderly. Some are living with disabilities or medical limitations. Others do not have reliable transportation. There are also working individuals and families whose work schedules make it difficult or impossible to visit a food pantry during its available hours.

The need is still there — but sometimes the ability to physically reach the help is not.

That is where Psalm 346 Ministries Inc. comes in.

P346 specializes in delivering food and essential items directly to local families and individuals who are experiencing hardship, particularly those who are unable to access traditional food banks or pantries on their own.

When someone in the Easton area reaches out to ProJeCt of Easton for food assistance and explains that they are unable to physically get to the Downtown Easton food pantry, ProJeCt can refer that individual or family to Psalm 346 Ministries Inc.

From there, we help bridge the gap.

Our volunteers work to get food directly into the hands of the person or family who needs it.

It is a simple relationship, but an incredibly meaningful one.

We do not seek to replace the incredible work being done by local food pantries. Instead, we want to work alongside organizations like ProJeCt of Easton by helping solve one of the challenges that traditional food assistance programs sometimes face: getting the food from the pantry to the people who cannot get to the pantry themselves.

This is what community looks like to us.

Different organizations using their individual strengths, working together toward the same goal; making sure our neighbors are cared for.

We are incredibly grateful for ProJeCt of Easton and for the generosity they continually show our community. Their support and referrals allow Psalm 346 Ministries Inc. to do what we do best: go directly into our community, meet people where they are, and make sure that being homebound, disabled, elderly, without transportation, or working during pantry hours does not prevent someone from receiving the help they need.

Together, we are able to reach farther.

Together, we are able to serve more people.

And together, we are helping make sure that food assistance reaches not only those who can come through the doors of a pantry, but also those who cannot.
